Tim received a Diploma in forestry from Sir Sanford Fleming College in Lindsay, Ontario and a Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Biology from the University of Guelph in Guelph, Ontario. This knowledge helped him to successfully manage a small bee yard in Fort Frances, Ontario.

After hearing about the beautiful orchards and mediterranean-like climate in the Okanagan valley, Tim moved to Penticton British Columbia 1996. He then graduated to two larger bee yards, both in organic orchards in Naramata, British Columbia. Also involved in the business are the wonderful wife, Laurie and daughter Lisa as well as the bee dog Keena.
